Haverhill: Madeline Marion Knowles, 84, passed away on March 2, 2012 at The Oxford.

Born in Haverhill on January 12, 1928, Miss Knowles was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Sadie M. (Burleigh) Knowles, and was raised by her grandmother. For twenty-five years she worked as a bookkeeper before retiring in 1982. While living at The Oxford Madeline enjoyed participating in bingo, coffee socials and she looked forward to having her hair styled. Madeline will be sorely missed by her family of friends at The Oxford.

Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, will be private. Interment at Linwood Cemetery.
