METHUEN - Lucy Ann Jarek, 59, passed away peacefully at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House on Saturday, December 31, surrounded by her loving family.

Lucy was born on November 11, 1957 to Roger and Theresa Poisson. Born and raised in Methuen, Lucy was part of the last graduating class of the Tenney High School. She was a dedicated employee of North Reading Transportation for nearly 20 years, as well as the sole owner of TJ's Landscaping and Plowing Company. Lucy found great satisfaction in her work as a bus driver for the City of Lawrence and enjoyed the innumerous time she spent with the children, especially those coming from troubled backgrounds.

Lucy was also a devoted wife, mother and "memere". She is survived by her beloved husband Thomas Jarek, whom she shared 23 years of loving marriage; daughters Stephanie Croston and Tess Jarek; and her precious grandson Caden Rylee Croston whom her life revolved around unconditionally; mother Theresa Santomassino; siblings Ann, Tony and Jay Santomassino; and her extended family whom will all miss her deeply.

Lucy could instantly light up a room with her infectious smile and comradery. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, especially to beaches, her favorites being York Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee, and Aruba. She had the kindest of souls and loved to help those, especially children, in need. She will be terribly missed by all, especially by her husband and daughters, whom she supported and loved unconditionally.

Memorial service for Lucy will be held on Saturday, January 7, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
