HAVERHILL - Lucy B. (Scamporino) Fiorentini, 93, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 17, 2016, with her family by her side.

She was born in Haverhill on April 16, 1923, daughter of the late Guido and Elizabeth (DeCristofaro) Scamporino. Lucy attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Dean Academy in Franklin and Bryant and Stratton College in Boston.

She was the devoted wife of the late John A. Fiorentini, who passed in 2007. They shared over 60 years of marriage together.

Lucy worked for several years for the IRS in Boston until she and John began their family. Raising her children was her proudest accomplishment. She enjoyed staying at home tending to her house and family while her husband served as an educator in the Haverhill schools. Her interests included gardening, knitting, camping, traveling throughout Europe with her husband and visiting family in Italy. She was a longtime member of the Haverhill YMCA, Cedardale and the Sons of Italy Victor Emanuel Lodge. Lucy also worked for a period of time at Mitchell's Department Store.

Her surviving family members include her loving children James J. Fiorentini and wife Martha, Anne Savinelli and husband John, Linda Fiorentini Jones and Susan McMillan all of Haverhill; cherished grandchildren Kristen V. Carbone, Jesse Carbone, Lisa Savinelli Williams, Lynn Maxwell, Regina Lucia Fiorentini, Christina M. Fiorentini and Jay Fiorentini; five adored great-grandchildren; sisters Maryjane Guzzardi of Haverhill and Rosanne McKee of Yarmouth; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, October 20, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will begin Friday morning in the funeral home at 8:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial offered at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
