Obituary

LAWRENCE - Linda Susan (Welch) Sanchez, 72, longtime resident of Massachusetts, died peacefully in Boston on Thursday May 21, 2020 due to natural causes. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Linda spent many years working for Hewlett-Packard before her retirement and was a devoted employee and hard working machine operator. She loved spending time with her family and loved them with her whole heart. Linda was known for her wonderful cooking. She enjoyed listening to her favorites Willie Nelson, Elvis, Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette while making her delicious Eggplant Parmesan, Stuffed Shells, Chicken Gumbo and Mexican food. Linda enjoyed the outdoors, beaches and lakes but mostly loved her fall weather. Linda loved capturing family moments on camera for memories and loved hosting holiday dinners every year. Her memory will live on and she will be missed dearly. Linda is survived by her son Jesse Sanchez of Mass, daughter Connie Blackwell and her husband Eddie Blackwell of Arkansas; grandchildren Tanya, David, Jennifer, Jesse Jr, Amber and many great-grandchildren; brothers Eric Goldsmith, Thomas Welch, and Larry Smart; sisters Connie Hughes and Cindi Atwell; many nieces and nephews; predeceased by her mother Dorcas Alice Duston and father John B. Welch; granddaughter Bobbi-Jo Demers; sister Lucy Zamora, brothers George Zamora, Danny Goldsmith and Robert McElhany. Celebration of her life will be held in the fall when she will be laid to rest.
