Obituary

HAVERHILL - Lea A. (Barrett) MacAuley, 59, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Saturday evening, January 11, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Cambridge on September 26, 1954, she was daughter of the late James and Patricia (Flaherty) Barrett.

For the last 25 years, Lea was a dedicated administrative professional at an area hospital, but her most cherished role was being "Nana". Lea will always be remembered for how fiercely she loved her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Lawrence J. MacAuley of Haverhill; loving daughters, Tabitha and her husband Thomas Lane of Haverhill, and Melissa and her husband TSgt Brian Hammond of Germany; beloved sister, Patricia (Barrett) Pfuderer and her husband Daniel Ryan of Somerville; four beautiful grandchildren, Brian Rylie, Maxwell, Lea and Maggie; her loving "brothers and sisters" from the MacAuley family as well as many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 15, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, (Rte. 125), Bradford from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Bradford at 11:00 AM.
