SPRINGFIELD - Lawrence "Larry" Kraynick of Springfield, MA quietly passed away at Baystate Hospital with his family by his side.

Larry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 14, 1920. Larry was a graduate of Perishing High School in Milwaukee. After graduation he pursued his education further by attending M.I.T. and Harvard University. He then went to work for Whitman & Howard engineering firm.

Later in life he moved to Scarborough, Maine and opened his own engineering firm. When Larry retired, he and his wife Joan "Delores" Kraynick moved to Springfield, MA and lived life to the fullest. Every winter he and his wife would travel to Santo Domingo and everyone there would know when he would arrive. Larry touched so many lives and never asked for anything in return. Larry was always eager to help anyone he could.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Delores, daughters Laurene and Sally, two sons Robert and Gray.

His ashes will be scattered into the Fox River in Milwaukee where his mother's ashes were scattered.
