HAVERHILL - Kathleen D. Paula, 77, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Kathie was born in Charlestown, MA one of three children to Daniel Joseph Herlihy, Jr., and Grace B. (Pilicy). She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Waltham, MA.

Kathie worked many years as a material supervisor at  Varian  in Beverly, MA and retired from A.W. Chesterton Company in Groveland MA.

In retirement, Kathie enjoyed many things including reading and traveling. Two of her favorite trips were to Egypt and Italy. She enjoyed spending time with family. One of her favorite places to visit was Gloucester, MA and went as often as she could. Visiting many of her favorite restaurants to get Clams or Fish Chowder.

Kathie is survived by her son Joseph M. Paula of Haverhill, her sister Debra McClune of Worcester and her brother Daniel J. Herlihy, III and his wife Michelle Parker of Kingsport, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she cherished.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Service with Catholic Funeral Rites will begin at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suit 602, Boston, MA 02215.
