MERRIMACPORT- Katharine Veasey Goodwin, 86, passed away at her home of over sixty years in Merrimacport on March 26, 2015.

She was born in Haverhill to the late Arthur Hale and Decia Beebe Veasey. Katharine was a graduate of Walnut Hill School in 1945 and Sweet Briar College in 1949.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David Webster Goodwin; her children and their spouses, Decia B. Goodwin and Brian G. Conway, David W. Jr. and Karen K. Goodwin, and Thomas M. and Carol A. Goodwin; nine grandchildren, Graham G., Katharine R., and Veasey J. Conway, David W. III, Benjamin K., and Margaret V. Goodwin, and Taylor M., Amber E., and Tenley A. Goodwin, and two great-grandchildren, David W. Goodwin IV and Reagan C. Goodwin. Katharine enjoyed lifelong friendships with her three brothers and their wives; Arthur Hale Jr. and Natalie Veasey, Decius and Ruth Veasey, and John Edwin and Zoe Veasey.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors. Katharine's extended family will gather to celebrate her life later in the spring.
