HAVERHILL: June G. Dion, 95, passed away peaceful at her home on May 31, 2014. Mrs. Dion was the wife of the late Roland L. Dion and Richard Saunders.

Born in Boston on June 8, 1918, Mrs. Dion was the daughter of the late Marion J. Guerin.

June was educated in Haverhill, and worked as a Disbursement Auditor for the former AT&T for thirty-three years before her retirement in 1978. She was a member and Past President of the Amvet's Post #147, member of the Telephone Pioneers, Jo Bridges Line Dancers, and was an entertainer/singer with the Comedy Mask Review.

June is survived by her son, Robert R. Saunders and his wife Patricia of Hampstead; daughter, Nancy E. (Stanley) Comeau and her husband John of Hampstead; grandchildren, Stephen Saunders, Pamela LaCroix, Mark Saunders, Daniel Saunders, Michael T. Stanley, James Stanley, Elaine Rober and Edward C. Stanley. June was the mother of the late Ruthann J. Carlisle, and grandmother of the late Richard Saunders.

A private funeral service will be celebrated at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Interment to follow at Linwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in June's memory may be made to All Care Hospice, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA 01901, or www.allcare.org
