Julie Barton, 82, of Haverhill, MA, passed away on May 6, 2026, at Haverhill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. Born December 12, 1943 in Haverhill, she was the only daughter of Homer and Dorothy Chase. Julie was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1961. She worked as a nursing assistant for 37 years while raising her 5 children.

Julie was an amazing mom to her children and their friends, often baking cupcakes for bake sales, hosting sleepovers and chaperoning field trips. She was best known for always having cabinets full of snacks and for making her famous spaghetti and meatballs. She was an avid knitter and was always working on a baby sweater or blanket for someone special.

Her favorite charities were the National MS Society in support of her beloved friend Helen Beauregard who had MS as well as the Alzheimer's Society.

Julie is survived by her brother Peter Chase, her children Christine (Coppola) Kannon and partner Bobby Meninger, Susan (Coppola) Claflin and husband Jon Claflin, Julianne Coppola, Robert Coppola, Anita (Coppola) Ash and husband John Ash along with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Homer & Dorothy (Markham) Chase and her brother Michael Chase.
