GROVELAND - Judith (Judy) Davison, 85, of Groveland, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on the morning of September 2, 2023.

She was born to the late William Davison and Katharine Davison (née Stone) on August 23, 1938, in Arlington, Massachusetts. Eventually, the family moved to Ipswich, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Ipswich High School in 1956. The oldest of four, she is survived by siblings Eleanor Oberg (née Davison) and her husband Robert Oberg, William Davison III and his late wife Rebecca Davison, and Janet Greenwood (née Davison) and her husband Donald Greenwood. She was very fond of her time in Ipswich, always sharing tales of her activities throughout the town. She said once she had ice skated down High Street when the roads froze over one winter.

Judy went on to work as a telephone operator with New England Telephone, later known as AT&T. After retiring, she followed her love of travel and became a tour guide, adventuring through many cultures and environments around the world. She is survived by her two children, William Szydlo and his wife Linda Szydlo (née Belbute) of Ipswich, Massachusetts, and Michael Szydlo and his wife Christine Szydlo (née Goodwin) of Groveland, Massachusetts.

In her later years, she was known as a doting grandmother, survived by grandchildren Raeanne Szydlo and Benjamin Szydlo, Justin Lezon and his wife Sonomi Lezon (née Borden) and Jessica Brown (née Lezon), and her husband Steffan Brown of Seattle, Washington, and great-grandchildren Emiko Lezon, Keenan Lezon, and Nolan Brown, along with numerous nieces and nephews she loved infinitely. She looked forward to visiting family in Florida every winter, her class reunions, and telephone operator reunions with previous employees. She enjoyed the game of mahjong and had an extensive network of friends across the country who are sure to feel her absence. She still had her dynamic spirit, sharp wit, and boundless passion to the very end, and will be missed dearly by those around her. We know this is not a conclusion, but just another adventure for her to take on.
