PLAISTOW, NH: Joy A. (Pleau) Goulet, 56, passed away peacefully at her home on August 24, 2012 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Goulet was the wife of Robert G. Goulet.

Born in Haverhill on March 10, 1956, Joy was the daughter of the late Romeo A. and Mary (Sanborn) Pleau.

Joy was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1974. She continued her education at Bunker Hill Community College and Montserrat College of Art. Her career as a Graphic Artist spanned many years and included employment at Techprint and Arthur Blanc Co in Boston where she was manager of the graphic arts department. As an accomplished artist Joy used that special talent in appreciating all that she saw during her travels to Bermuda, the ocean and mountains.

Besides her husband of 27 years Joy is survived by her son, Gary Goulet of Fitchburg; sister, Mary Billadeau and her husband Gerry of North Hampton, NH; brother, Gerry Pleau and his wife Bev of Sebastian, FL; nieces and nephews, Marianne Casey and husband Matt of Brentwood, NH, Allison Egan and husband Tom of Watertown, MA, Colleen Burback and husband Jeff of Birmingham, AL, Greg Lewis and wife Michele of Mount Pleasant, SC and Steven Pleau of Grey, ME. She was the sister of the late Ernie Pleau, and great aunt to thirteen children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Haverhill Alliance Church, 284 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill.
