ATKINSON, NH - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our patriarch, John J. Morrissey. He was born on September 15, 1938, in Lowell to Cornelius and Gertrude (Rouselle) Morrissey. He grew up in the area and at an early age moved to Chelmsford and graduated from Chelmsford High School. Soon after graduation, he joined the Navy to serve his country. Following his service in the Navy, he married and started a family. He was the former owner of American Food Products and was known as the "Candy Man". He was a world traveler visiting the Middle East, Australia, and all of Europe. He was proud to say that he visited every state in America.
