**UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION**

GROVELAND - John William Kirmelewicz (Poppy), 80, died  peacefully with his family by his side on November 18, 2022. He fought a brave fight until the very end.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Corrine Kirmelewicz; children Robert John Kirmelewicz and daughter in-law Roberta and Leanne Wright and son in-law Jason; grandchildren Chelsea, Jenna, Molly, Luke, Julia and Jacob; and great-grandchildren Charlie, Josephine, Jackson, Roan, and Drew.

John was raised in Everett, MA, and attended Everett Vocational High School. He resided in Groveland for 54 years, where he raised his family. He was self-employed and worked up until the day he became ill.

John's proudest accomplishments were his marriage, his children who he loved and brought him such pride, their children who he adored, and many, many friends.

John's interests were cooking, TV crime shows, but mostly being with family; family was everything to him.

Before John became ill, he could be seen at Market Basket doing his daily shopping, and nightly socializing at Dunkin Donuts with his coffee buddies.

John had a great sense of humor up until the time he took his last breath. What you saw was what you got! There were no airs about him. He had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed by all.
