BONNER, John F. of Everett passed away on October 15, at the Chelsea Soldiers Home. John served his country nobly in the United States Navy during World War II on the S.S. O'Brien where he was later awarded the Purple Heart for his dedicated and heroic service to his country. He was the son of the late John Bonner and Amanda (Sampson) Bonner. He was also predeceased by his loving wife Barbara Jo Bonner whom was one of the first women recipients of the Purple Heart for her service to her country during the Vietnam War. After returning from his service John pursued a career as a salesman in the food production industry, which he would later achieve the position as a Vice President for Stanislaus Food Products in Modesto, California. His true passions in life included boating, cooking, baking, and traveling. John took great pleasure in entertaining his friends and family at his home. He is survived by his loving daughter Mary Annaldo and her husband Kenneth of Seabrook, NH; sister Helen Shea of Wilmington; brother William Bonner of Revere. Also many loving nieces and nephews. John was also predeceased by his three sisters Mary Bonner, Agnes Patenaude and Evelyn Nolan. A private service will be held for John at the convenience of the family in the spring. The family would like to thank the staff of the Chelsea Soldiers Home for the care they have given John.
