HAMPSTEAD, NH: Joanne E. (Dierauer) Graham, 75, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2019 at Mass General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Bret C. Graham.
Born in Haverhill on October 11, 1943, Joanne was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Arlene (White) Dierauer.
Joanne graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1961, and continued her education at the former Lowell State Teachers College, graduating in 1965. Joanne taught for ten years at Sacred Heart Grammar School until health issues forced her retirement in 2000. Previously, Joanne worked and raised her family for a span of 15 years in El Paso, TX, and a Virginia suburb (Vienna) of Washington, DC. Joanne was much-loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece, and grandnephew.
Besides her husband of 50 years, Joanne is survived by her children, Breton G. Graham of San Diego, CA, Katie Comeau, wife of James Comeau of Haverhill; grandchildren, Ziva and Elijah Comeau of Haverhill; sister, Judith Dierauer, sister-in-law, Bonnie Graham, and brother-in-law George Moriarty, all of Haverhill; and niece Kathleen Moriarty, and grandnephew Oliver Wilson of Andover. Joanne was the sister of the late Joyce Moriarty, wife of George Moriarty of Haverhill.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a 9:00 AM service on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill to be followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Hearts Church. Interment to follow at Linwood Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
