Obituary

Haverhill: Janice (Parker) Noonan, 81, died February 16, 2011 at the home of her niece Jeanne LaFontaine. She was the loving wife of David Noonan who passed in 1990.

Born in Haverhill on November 23, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Francis Parker and Iona (Harriman) Paquette.

During her marriage she lived in Columbus, OH, and finally settled in Washington, DC returning to Haverhill after her husband's death. Prior to retirement Janice was a waitress at restaurants in both Columbus and Washington. She loved to travel with her husband to visit family and especially to

Canada's Winter Festival in Montreal. She was an avid reader, loved sports, crossword puzzles and a good political debate.

She was the sister and sister-in-law of the late Francis and Simone (Rouleau) Parker. She is survived by their children, her niece, Jeanne LaFontaine; her nephews, Richard and his wife Val, Francis and his fiance Debra Morgan, David and Kenneth Parker. She was also the aunt of the late Wayne Parker. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, and best friend, Mary (Noonan) Noyes; her niece, Carlene (Penney)

Demaris and her husband John, and her nephew David Noyes. She was also the sister-in-law to the late Carl Noyes. She is also survived by fifteen great nieces and nephews, as well as, several great, great nieces and nephews.

Services at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private with no calling hours. Interment at Linwood Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. #9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
