James Samardelis, of Loudon, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 5, 1956, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
James was the beloved husband of Kalliopi (Gavrielides) Samardelis of Loudon, NH. Together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage and built a life centered around family, love, and friendship.
He is survived by his daughters Alethea Samardelis of Loudon, NH, and Christina Dupont of Milford, NH; and by his son in-law, Derek Dupont. He also leaves behind his brother Charles Samardelis of North Carolina and sister in-law, Judith Samardelis. James was a proud grandfather to his two granddaughters Mikayla Grace Samardelis and Paisley Autumn Samardelis, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his nieces Jillian Knights and Jamie Dupuis, as well as his best friend Walter Gross.
James was a graduate of Whittier Tech, Class of 1975. He later attended Fitchburg State in 1976 and graduated from Lowell University in 1983.
James enjoyed spending time in his yard and loved being with his granddaughters. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his friendship, and the love he shared with those around him.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, in Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 156 Winter Street, Haverhill from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Services will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
