Haverhill: James E. Hale, 84, husband of Madelyn L. (Minkle) Hale, died May 29, 2010 at Merrimack Valley Hospital.

Born in Plaistow, NH on September 21, 1925, Mr. Hale was the son of the late Stephen M. and Mary (McDonald) Hale.

Mr. Hale was educated at the Pollard School in Plaistow, NH. He was a successful businessman who, before his retirement in 1998, owned and operated several business including; Rosengard Hale Furniture of Brentwood, NH, Hale Septic of Haverhill, Newton Wood Products, and Roll Around Roller Skating Rink in Newton, NH.

Besides his wife of sixty-two years Mr. Hale is survived by his daughters, Linda J. Hale of Kingston, NH, Karen L. Raymond of Haverhill; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Nickerson of Belmont, NH.

Arrangements at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private, as well as the interment at Hillside Cemetery.
