HAVERHILL - James R. Flanagan 71, lifelong resident of Bradford, passed away peacefully on Friday February 11, 2022  at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center surrounded by his family.

James was born on May 20, 1950 in Haverhill to the late Natalie Flanagan Williams.  He was a 1968 graduate of Haverhill High School and a 1970 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology. For many years he owned and operated JimFlan Painting, a business he was proud of.

He was a member of the Crescent Yacht Club and enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with family and his faithful dog Tyler.

James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah Currier Flanagan; three children and their spouses Steven Flanagan and Cherie Berry, Kara and Louie Hernandez and Ryan and Kelly Flanagan; six grandchildren Jolena Flanagan, Natalie and Khloe Hernandez and Evan, Riley and Dylan Flanagan; also survived by two brothers Richard and Dennis Flanagan. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services with Catholic Rites will follow beginning at 1:00 PM. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
