HAVERHILL: Isabel "Lucy" Cabrera, 86, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on January 17, 2022.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on June 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio Cabrera and Hermenegilda Montesino.

Lucy and her family moved to Manhattan, NY in 1952 to seek more opportunities for the family. She worked many years in manufacturing in NY before moving to Haverhill.  She was devoted to her children and enjoyed sharing family stories with them.

One of eight children, Lucy is survived by her children, Eddie Casado of Merrimac, NH, Wesley Gonzalez and his wife Maritza of Deltona, FL, Wanda Gonzalez of Haverhill, Evelyn Vazquez and her husband Orlando of Puerto Rico, Lucy Lisazuain of Deltona, FL, David Lisazuain of Puerto Rico; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Lucy was the mother of the late Pedro Casado.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill on Monday, January 24 ^th at 9:30 to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. James Church.
