HAVERHILL - Hugh Johnson, 81, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

Hugh was born on November 4, 1936 in Newton, NH, son of Edgar and Ellen (Soraghan) Johnson. He graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1953 and attended Northeastern and Suffolk University attaining his Master's Degree in Education.

His career ranged from teacher and assistant principal at the Pinkerton Academy, Salem High School and Alvirne High School. He also coached football during his tenure at Pinkerton Academy and Salem High. In addition to his passion for education and football, Hugh was an avid outdoorsman. He will be greatly missed.

Hugh's surviving family members include his loving wife Karen of Londonderry, NH; children Rafe Johnson and wife Angela of Louisville, KY, Lenan Hager and husband Guy of Mt. Vernon, OH and Robin Ruth of New Durham, NH; sister Claire; predeceased by his siblings Nedra, Maxine and Sally Ann.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 18, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Private funeral services will be held Monday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. For guestbook, please visit www.driscollcares.com
