HAVERHILL: Henry W. Goulet, 90, husband of Dorothy L. (German) Goulet, passed away very peacefully at his home, with his loving wife by his side, on August 13, 2010.

Born in Somerville on March 6, 19 20, Mr. Goulet was the son of the late Wilfred and Yvonne (Savoy) Goulet.

Following his graduation from St. Joseph's School in Somerville he entered the seminary where he studied for many years. After completing his studies he joined the family business, Goulet Plumbing and Heating, and represented the third generation in the profession where he worked for thirty-five years before retiring in 1995. Henry continued his interest in Bible studies, and also enjoyed playing tennis.

Besides his wife of fifty-seven years he is survived by his children, Michael Goulet and his wife Karen of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Robert Goulet and his wife Joy of Plaistow, NH, Stephen Goulet of Haverhill, Anne Kent and her husband Brian of Corinna, ME, Janice Rogers and her husband Michael of Haverhill, Patricia LaPierre of Derry, NH, Peter Goulet of Methuen, Paula Balas and her husband Fred of Stratham, NH, Thomas Goulet of Haverhill; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Theresa Lessard of FL, Pauline Haggarty and her husband Henry of FL, Bernadette Sharp of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Norman, Bernard and Gerald Goulet, and Hortence Gariepy.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 3:00 p.m., at the Alliance Church, 284 Kenoza Avenue. At the families request there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg, #9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
