HAVERHILL - Henry J. Gauthier, 69, of Methuen formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Monday afternoon, April 14, 2014 surrounded by his family at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mr. Gauthier was born in Methuen on May 27, 1944, only child of Henry and Louise (Russell) Gauthier. He was raised in Lawrence, and attended Lawrence schools. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. During his time in the service, he was stationed throughout the Mediterranean and South America.

When Henry returned home, he married his loving wife of 45 years, Teresa (Gangi) Gauthier. They raised their family in Haverhill together until recently moving to Methuen.

He was employed as a sheet metal worker for various companies throughout the area. His activities included being an avid fisherman, and he was passionate about his Trike-Motorcycle. Henry was above all, a caring husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Gauthier's surviving family members in addition to his wife include his cherished daughter, Marie Joslin and husband Sam of Bradford; grandson, Tyler Joslin; brother in-law, Joe Gangi and wife Lorraine of CT; and many caring friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte 125), Bradford from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will follow beginning at 7:00 PM. Navy Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service. Interment will be privately held in Linwood Cemetery.
