Obituary

AMESBURY - Helen Anna (Laterowicz) Putur, 91, of Amesbury and longtime resident of Ipswich passed away peacefully at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from complications due to a stroke. Born in Ipswich, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Stefania Laterowicz.

She is survived by two daughters Marianne Burns of Amesbury and Patricia Rice of Haverhill; daughter in-laws Elizabeth Putur of Whitman and Mary Putur of Ipswich and son-in-law Jonathan Rice of Ipswich; grandchildren David Putur, Andrea Morris and husband Michael and Jeffrey Putur and wife Tara all of Ipswich, Elsa, Helena and Annika Putur of Whitman and Benjamin Rice of Haverhill; great-grandchildren Alexis and Jacob Putur and Annabel and Evan Morris of Ipswich and many nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her special friend and companion Arthur Evans. She is predeceased by her three children David Putur, Dianna Putur and Theodore Putur, Jr., son in-law Fred Burns, brother Edward and her former husband Theodore Putur.

A faithful, Catholic woman, Helen devoted her life to family. Throughout her life, she attended Mass at the Polish Church, LaSalette, the Novitiate, in Ipswich and Holy Family Church in Amesbury. She enjoyed golfing and swimming and playing cards with friends and cooking Polish food and baking. She worked at the Ipswich Chronicle and MONY in Boston and upon retirement for the American Red Cross in Peabody. Lately, she enjoyed the time she spent with Artie, family and friends, solving word find puzzles and rarely missing her favorite show, Two and a Half Men. Her warm smile and kind heart will be missed.

Her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24 in Holy Family Church, School Street, Amesbury at 10:00 AM. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill. For guestbook, please visit www.driscollcares.com
