LANCASTER, PA: Harriet Shirley Brown, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on August 26, 2013 in Lititz, PA. Mrs. Brown was the wife of the late Donal H. Brown.

Born in Haverhill on December 7, 1914 she attended school in Haverhill and continued her education graduating as a registered nurse. During WW11 she served in the US Navy as Lieut. (jg) at various hospitals before her honorable discharge in 1946.

Mrs. Brown's family includes her daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Brown of Lancaster, PA and Russell "Russ" Brown.

A memorial service was celebrated in CT on August 28, 2013, followed by a private graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery on August 29th. Arrangements directed by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill.
