HAVERHILL: Gertrude L. (Frost) Serratore, 89, the last of seven children, died Saturday, September 19th at her home.

Born in Newburyport on August 29, 1920, Mrs. Serratore was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Rebecca E. (Hopkins) Frost.

Mrs. Serratore was a retired Western Electric employee. She was also an active member of the First Church of Christ in Bradford.

Mrs. Serratore is survived by her daughters, Frances Hanagan and her husband Robert of Bradford, Joanne Fuller and her husband Robert of Exeter, NH; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was the mother of the late Joseph Serratore, wife of the late Richard D. Serratore, and sister of the late Alice Pinkham, Florence Vigeant, George, Charles, Herbert and William Frost.

The funeral service at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private. Interment at Linwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
