HAVERHILL – Gerry Karanja Kimani, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Thika, Kenya on October 22, 1975. Gerry his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and Foods Science and worked as a Food Service Director. His interests included cooking, conspiracy theories, reggae music (especially Bob Marley), watching comedies and true crime TV, philosophy, most of all being with family and friends.

Everyone loved Gerry. He had a big heart, was very intelligent and took pride in taking care of his family and friends. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever. Rest in Power.

His family members include his cherished wife Joyce Kimani of Haverhill; parents Teresia Wangui Kimani and the late Francis Kimani Karanja; cherished children Xavier Kimani Karanja of Lynn and Kyra Marie Wangui Kimani of Haverhill; siblings Julie Mukami Waweru and husband David of Kenya, Stacy Nyambura Gachanja and husband Dickson of Kenya, Wendy Kimani-Onderwater and husband Marvin of the Netherlands; sister's in-law Jill Byron of Haverhill and Julie O'Meara and boyfriend Aidan McCarthy of Haverhill; nieces and nephews Angela, Ted, Nikki, Ray, Ryan, Taji, Dylan, Larissa, Aylah, Caleb, Abby and Ayden; son in-law of Nancy Soucy and the late Roger Soucy and Mike and Gail Cogliano.
