Geraldine Minihan passed away on July 17, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Daniel “Danjo” Minihan and Mary (Levis) Minihan.
A resident of Haverhill, Mass., she was a graduate of St. James High School class of 1964. She received a BA in English from Regis College and an MEd from Cambridge College. She was employed for many years as an English teacher at Amesbury High School and Haverhill High School.
She enjoyed summers at Seabrook Beach and was an avid traveler. Her favorite trips were to Alaska, France, Italy, Ireland, and many other countries in Europe. She also loved to visit family members in Kentucky, where she shared wonderful adventures with them. In addition to her U.S. citizenship, she obtained Irish citizenship.
Geraldine was predeceased by her sister, Mary Lyons. Among her survivors are Daniel Lyons, of Sudbury, Mass.; Mary Lyons, of Boston, Mass.; and John and Jennifer Lyons, and their children, Evan, Nicholas, and Julia, of Edgewood, Kentucky.
She is also survived by many cousins and friends. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 8, at Saint James Cemetery, 360 Primrose Street, Haverhill, beginning at 11:00 AM. Contributions may be made to Breakthrough T1D, formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements made by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill.
