Geoffrey 'Duffy' Carleton Laing, passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born on March 28, 1949 in Haverhill, MA, son of Donald K. and Constance H. Laing.

Geoffrey was a devoted father to Benjamin C. Laing and Alexandra 'Sandy' Laing and a proud grandfather to Felix Laing. He is survived by his sister Nancy, along with many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Scott and Greg.

He was a lifelong music enthusiast, Geoffrey enjoyed playing guitar and sharing weekly band practices with longtime friends. An avid athlete, he played college football, ice hockey, and coached youth football. Dedicated fan of the New England Patriots, he rarely, if ever, missed a game. Geoffrey loved the fast cars, hiking, body surfing at the beach, and spending time with family; especially his children and grandson.

Geoffrey will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, enduring friendships, and his dedication to and love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Forever loved, forever remembered.

Private family services were held. He was laid to rest in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions may be made in his name to your local Meals on Wheels chapters.
