Gary Spring, 73, of Methuen, MA passed away on September 3, 2026 with his children by his side. 

He had a long, successful career as an academic and Civil Engineer before retiring in 2014. 

He had many hobbies (including running, reading, and genealogical research), but none approached the love he had for being a father (and in recent years, grandfather). 

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Elda Spring of Pittsfield, MA; his daughter, Molly, of Salem, MA; and his son Mitch, daughter-in-law Olivia, and—to his great delight—grandson Alden Spring, of Quechee, VT.
