NEWBURY, MA: Francesca M. Lane, 97, passed away on October 11, 2012 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lane was the wife of the late Lewellyn H. Lane.

Born in Haverhill on August 19, 1915, Mrs. Lane was the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Helen A. (Sargent) Miller.

She was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of1933. Early in her career she had worked at the Haverhill Credit Union before remaining home to raise her family. She enjoyed sewing, and greatly valued the time spent with her family.

Mrs. Lane is survived by her son, William T. Lane and his wife Virginia of North Hampton, NH; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late free lance artist and TV personality Edmund "Ted" Miller, and twins, Julian Miller and Janice deMoulpied. Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private.
