HAVERHILL - Evelyn B. (Therrien) Mahoney, 88, of Haverhill, wife of the late James A. Mahoney passed away peacefully on January 18, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Methuen on May 30, 1929, daughter of the late Adelard and Albea Therrien. Evelyn worked for Western Electric for many years through 1966 followed by working for her family construction business as the Treasurer for James A. Mahoney and Sons until she retired. Evelyn's passions were spending time with her family and friends at her beloved home of more than fifty years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, casinos, listening to music and doing crossword puzzles with her friends at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.

She is survived by her loving children James Mahoney and wife Suzan of Haverhill, Michael Mahoney and wife Linda of Haverhill, John Mahoney and wife Joan of Haverhill, Cathleen Noyes and husband Steven of Atkinson, NH, and Erin Baker and husband Steven of Haverhill; ten grandchildren Jennifer Mahoney, Corinne Mahoney, John Mahoney, Katrina Heisler, Michael Mahoney, Patrick Mahoney, Michael Noyes, Katelyn Noyes, Meghan Mahoney and Erin Mahoney; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Lorraine Bergeron and Sister Anita Therrien. The family would like to give their sincere thanks to the healthcare professionals at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center and the Harborside Hospice for their wonderful care.

Arrangements: Visiting hours will be Saturday, January 20, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill at 12:00 PM.
