HAVERHILL: Evelyn D. (Green) Sullivan, 86, passed away on July 17, 2015 at Lawrence General Hospital. Mrs. Sullivan was the wife of the late James M. Sullivan.

Born in Haverhill on April 28, 1929, Evelyn was the daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy (Haigh) Green.

Educated in Haverhill, Evelyn graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of1947. Early in her career she worked at the former Western Electric, and then was able to remain home to raise her family. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren, sewing, playing bingo with friends at varied locations in Haverhill, and trips to Foxwoods. She enjoyed spending time in her yard feeding the birds and squirrels. Evelyn was devoted to her family with whom she shared her most lasting memories.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Michael J. Sullivan of Haverhill, Leslie A. Brown and husband Allan of Haverhill, Gary W. Sullivan of Haverhill, Timothy P. Sullivan of Haverhill; grandchildren, Paul J. Paquette and wife Jessica of Haverhill, Tanya King and husband Rob of Haverhill, Tiffany Sullivan of Peabody, Timothy P. Sullivan, Jr. of Chelsea; great grandchildren, Ava Jane Paquette, Luke Paquette, Timothy P. Sullivan, III, and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was the sister of the late George H. Green, Jr., Emma Jordan and Shirley Walsh.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral on Wednesday, July 22nd, at 1:00 p.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
