PLAISTOW, NH: Erma C. Cambria, 88, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, surrounded by those she loved, at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry, NH. She was the wife of the late Patsy J. Cambria, to whom she had been married for fifty-six years.

Born in Haverhill, MA on April 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Gordon C. and Norma (Sanborn) DeRusha.

Erma was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1953. Her work career spanned many years to include office work at Fifth Avenue Shoe, Avco Corp., and lastly as a clerk K-Mart before retiring in 1996.

Erma and her husband enjoyed traveling to CT and CA and were fortunate to have cruised to Alaska and Mexico. She enjoyed the special time spent with family and friends playing cards and bingo at Plaistow's Vic Geary Community Center.

Erma is survived by her family; Patrick Cambria and his wife Stephanie of Derry, NH, Alyson Cambria of Newburyport; grandchildren, Christina Kaushagen and her husband Tyler, Michael Fichera, Cambria Strickland, Tru Cambria, Olivia Cambria; great grandson, Lucas Kaushagen, Kinsley Kaushagen; sister, Diane M. Baker of Bradford, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Erma was the mother of the late Cynthia Fichera, Wendy Cambria, Jeffrey Cambria, and sister of the late Robert DeRusha, Audrey Patterson, Marlon DeRusha, and Freda & Michael Gueli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Erma's life on Wednesday, July 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral home, 148 Main St., Haverhill.
