AMESBURY - Eric C Chipman, 68, of Sanford, Maine died Sunday morning September 1, 2019 at Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury, MA.

He was born in Brockton, MA on October 21,1950. He was the son of the late Robert and Shirley (Halper) Chipman and the widower of Rita Chipman.

Eric spent his days creating culinary delights for friends and family, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother, Chester Chipman and his wife Karen, from Marianna, Florida, his three daughters Kimberly LaSusa and her husband Tom of Levittown NY, Katrina Smith and her husband Ron of Beverly, MA, Michelle SmithDimsey and her wife Cindy of San Diego, CA and his 9 grandchildren-Kelsi, Brian and his wife Kayleigh, Nicholas, Tyler, Sirena, Jaden, Kara, Matthew, Aidan and his great grand-daughter, Lauren. Eric is also survived by many friends as well as several comrades known as his "brothers."

Celebration of Eric's Life will be held graveside on Friday, October 18 in Evergreen Cemetery, 1100 Washington Street, Stoughton, MA at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are welcome to gather with us. In lieu of flowers Eric's wish was for contributions to be made to The American Cancer Society in continuing memory and honor of his wife, Rita.
