Elizabeth "Betty" Bezanson, 85, died at her home on May 14, 2018, after a courageous 15-year battle with cancer. Betty was born March 13, 1933 in Haverhill, MA, the daughter of the late Lester and Jane (Brown) Duchemin.
Betty was educated in Rocks Village School, and Fazio's School of Beauty and Hair Design. Betty worked at Europa Coiffures in Haverhill, and for many years owned, operated Betty's Beauty Salon in Hampstead, NH. Betty taught Sunday school at Hampstead Congregational Church. Betty was also a member of the Women's Eastern Star Kingston, NH. Betty's interests included her LOVE of her family, cooking, and baking cookies for all family and friend's celebrations.
Betty was happiest when working in her gardens which were music to the earth. She took great pride in building three homes with her husband, Edwin on the Bezanson family homestead named "Jorgensen Lane" and also building a summer camp on Eagle Lake, Maine.
For 63 years she was a loving wife, married and devoted to Edwin Frederick Bezanson. She caught his big blue eyes at a dance in Merrimac, Mass. on a Saturday night. They were united in marriage 2 years later at the Baptist Church, in Saunders Hill in Haverhill.
Betty is predeceased by Edwin, she is survived by beloved daughters, Deborah Lucchesi, Dorothy Copper and her husband Robert; sons, Forrest Bezanson, David Bezanson and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Gregory, Adam, Jessica, Joseph, Jason, Chad, Ethan, and Brianna; Great-grandchildren, Amaya, Joseph, Jr., Alexandra, Callista, Madalyn, Krystal, Lily, Bradley, Brayden, Olivia, Colton, Paisley, Cooper; great great-grandchildren, James, Divinity, Daegon.
Betty is predeceased by her brother John. Betty is survived by her sister Joanne (Duchemin) Gaines, and brother Lomand Duchemin.
Betty touched the life of many people with her unselfishness all the way to the end of her life and was grateful for all the God-given things in life and her ever-loving family.
A SPECIAL thanks to the people that played an important role in Betty's last few moments. Bezanson at Lakeview Cemetery 210 Kent Farm Road in Hampstead, NH on June 23, at 1:00 p.m.
