HAVERHILL: Eleanor M. (Johnson) Wheeler, 84, wife of the late Frank R. Wheeler, died December 20, 2010 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.

Born in Melrose, MA on January 11, 1926, Mrs. Wheeler was the daughter of the late Carl A. and Grad (Anderson) Johnson.

Mrs. Wheeler was educated in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1944. She had worked in the Employee Payroll Dept. of John Hancock Life Insurance Co., and then worked in Haverhill for twenty-six years at the former Haverhill National Bank in both the Savings and Audit Departments before her retirement in 1985.

Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Melrose. She was the sister of the late Ruth Anderson.

The announcement for a graveside Memorial Service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield will be made in the spring. Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Donations in her memory may be made to the First Lutheran Church, 62 Church Street, Malden, MA 02148
