AMESBURY - Edward Wadsworth, 82, passed away at his home at Pow Wow Villa in Amesbury on February 5, 2016.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."
Edward was born on January 15, 1934 in Old Town, ME and graduated from barber school in 1954. He met the love of his life, Masina in 1954 and married her on Valentine's Day. They were married for over 40 years. He was employed as a master barber at numerous shops in MA. He enjoyed his work and was still working part-time in Amesbury prior to his passing. He spent weekends with his children and loved sharing his talent, love and his gift of music and piano playing with friends, family and loved ones. He was a man of so many talents, creative endeavors and a person with great business enterprise. He played jazz piano and sang popular show tunes at many local establishments, owned a sub and pizza shop in Exeter called, "The Magic Touch" and owned a greyhound named "Magical Moment" that ran grade A at Seabrook Race Track in Seabrook, NH.
Edward is survived by his children Doreen and husband Joseph, Tammy and her fiancé Terry, Frank and his wife Lisa, Marlene, Karen, and good friend Tina; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Masina in 2002, and his beloved son Thomas in 2015.
Private memorial services will be held for the family in the spring.
