Edward Rostosky, 83, of Haverhill, passed away on July 23, 2026, at High Pointe Hospice House
Born on June 27, 1943, in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Peter and Edna (Boratyn) Rostosky. Edward was raised and educated in Vershire, VT, where he graduated from Thetford Academy in 1961. He went on to earn a college degree in land surveying before proudly serving in the U.S. Army.
Following his military service, Edward built a long and accomplished career as a geophysicist, working for more than 35 years before retiring at the age of 62. He was also a longtime member of the Lithuanian Gedymino Club of Haverhill, where he enjoyed many years of friendship and community.
He cherished time spent with his family at Lake Ossipee in Freedom, NH, where many happy memories were made.
Edward was the devoted husband of the late Barbara Anne (Shea) Rostosky, to whom he was married for 55 years until her passing in October of 2025. He was also predeceased by his parents and sister, Dorothy Anna Rostosky.
He is survived by his sons, Stephen Rostosky and wife Susan, and their children Lauren, Lindsey, and Sarah; and Michael Rostosky and wife, Nicole, and their children Emily, Abigail, and Benjamin. He is also survived by his dear cousin, Carol Rastauskas (wife of his late cousin, Charles Rastauskas) along with sisters in‑law, brothers in‑law, nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss him deeply.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services will be Saturday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Lithuanian Cemetery, Montvale Street, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edward’s memory may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital at www.giving.childrenshospital.org or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
