BRADFORD - Donald C. Miles, Sr., 70, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Mass General Hospital, Boston, surrounded by his wife, daughter and son.

He was born in Boston on November 25, 1946, son of the late Norman E. and Marion E. (Cole) Miles. Donald proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Nuremberg and Bremerhaven, Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. He met and married his wife Sigrid in Bremerhaven in 1968. Upon returning to the United States, he started his family and worked for numerous trucking companies and began his own business.

Donald's surviving family members included his cherished wife Sigrid H. (Markgraf) Miles; loving children, Michelle M. (Miles) Hood and husband John, and Donald C. Miles, Jr.; grandsons Todd Hood and Caleb Miles; sister Diana (Miles) Duvall and husband Charles; niece April Ball; grandniece Shantel Preston and family; brother of the late Dorothy (Miles) Pacht.
