HAVERHILL - Dolores Blais, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill, with her family by her side.

Dolores was born to her parents John and Jenny Lopez on August 23, 1943 in Lawrence, MA. She was predeceased by her best friend and loving husband Arthur who passed in 2014.

Dolores and Art were married on May 18, 1968. They moved to Hampstead, NH shortly after and lived there until moving to The Villages, FL in 2003. Dolores and Art loved dancing and bowling and most of all playing golf together in The Villages. While living in Florida Dolores also found out that she was a good athlete and made a name for herself on the softball field.

She leaves her son Artie Blais and his wife Shannon of Portsmouth, NH; and daughter Chris Ludlow and her husband Barry and their two daughters Sammie age 9 and Maggie age 7 of Darien, CT.

Dolores was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a huge sports fan and loved attending all sporting events that included her nieces, nephews and most of all her son Artie and daughter Chris. Dolores was their biggest fan and was often spotted running up and down the sidelines cheering them on. Dolores is predeceased by her brothers John Lopez and Dennis Lopez and leaves behind brother Jamie Lopez and sisters Juanita Torrisi, Donna Lopez, and Carmela Rapp.

Her family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA as well as the 2nd floor nurses and staff of the Portsmouth Hospital Portsmouth, NH for their efforts and care as well as the kindness and compassion they gave Dolores through her time of need. Celebration of Dolores's Life will be held on Saturday, June 29 at First Parish Church, 180 York Street, York, ME 03909 at 2:00 PM.
