HAVERHILL - Message from the Pastor Clarkson of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Haverhill:

If you were in church on Sunday, you heard that beloved longtime church member Diane Brokvist, who's been in the hospital because of cancer, moved to hospice on Saturday night. We are so sad to share the news that Diane died early this morning, September 10, at 12:47 am. Her final days were peaceful ones, companioned by her two children, other family, and friends. Diane was a loyal and devoted member here who will be sorely and sadly missed. We will share the obituary and information about the memorial service when it's available.

Please join us in this prayer for Diane, and for her family and friends:

O God whose work and will and very name is Love, we thank you for the gift we were given in Diane. We yield with confidence to grief, knowing that the pain will pass and sorrow ends, but Love does not die and will not end. Love abides in us, around us and beyond us, forever and ever, Amen.

The most important things in Diane's life were her children Stacy and Chip, her church and community.
