HAVERHILL - Dennis E. Ball, 70, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Haverhill, passed away Friday morning, July 27, 2012 in Fort Myers, Florida.
Mr. Ball was born on July 18, 1942, son of the late Andrew O. and Florence E. (Kerr) Ball. He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served from 1960 through 1973; including Vietnam and Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then worked for many years as a truck driver. Mr. Ball has been residing in Florida with his wife for the past twenty years.
Mr. Ball was a lifetime member of the Elks and the VFW. He was a classic car enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, reading, playing the guitar and singing.
His surviving family members include his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Jacqueline Ball of Cape Coral, FL; loving daughter, Tracy Ball of Cape Coral, FL; cherished grandchildren, James Ordway, Jr. of Middletown, NY and Ashlee Opperlee of Cape Coral, FL; siblings, Sandra Bergeron and her husband Wayne of Derry, NH and Denise Durgin of Haverhill; brother in-law, Arthur Allen, Jr. and his wife Evelyn of Raymond, NH; and many nieces, nephews and friends; he is pre-deceased by his twin brother David, and sisters, Barbara Goddard and Doris Sheys.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning, August 3, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Bradford at 11:30 AM. Funeral Rites will be offered at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon. Interment with Marine Corps Military Honors will follow in Walnut Cemetery, Kenoza Street, Haverhill. Visiting hours will be held Thursday in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte. 125), Bradford, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
