HAVERHILL - Debra (McCluskey) Jones, 65, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2018 in Boston.

Debra was born on February 4, 1952 in Haverhill to the Muriel (French) McCluskey of Haverhill and the late John McCluskey of Boston. She graduated from Haverhill High School and then proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam.

Following her time in the service, she received her degree as a Registered Nurse and began her long career between the Hale Hospital and Anna Jacques Hospital. She enjoyed reading, writing, history, arts and crafts, nature, tomato gardening and a good conversation. But nothing was more important to her than her family and being a devout Christian. She will be greatly missed.

Debra's surviving family members include her loving mother Muriel; cherished children Matthew Kirchoff and wife Jill of Berwick, ME, Ashley Jones of Haverhill and Thomas Kirchoff of Haverhill; grandson Shaymasin Gaudet of Haverhill; sister in-law Mary McCluskey of Kingston, NH and several nieces and nephews. Debra was predeceased by her brother Steven McCluskey and sister Tammy McCluskey.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will take place on Monday, January 29, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services will begin Tuesday in the funeral home at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. James Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. U.S. Navy Honors will follow the Mass. Spring burial in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow.
