HAVERHILL - David P. Pearl, 62, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday morning, September 23, 2012 at his residence.
David was born in Haverhill on March 26, 1950, son of the late Richard and Blanche (Therrien) Pearl. He attended St. Joseph Grammar School, Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School.
Cherished husband of 43 years to Sandra J. (Ward) Pearl.
Following Trade School, David began to work as a Union Carpenter for several years. He always enjoyed carpentry, he built many homes over the years for both work and for family. The career he was most proud of was being a Teamster Truck Driver, Local No. 25, for 40 years. Operating most recently under Catalano Brothers Trucking of Ayer until his retirement in 2010.
David's activities included traveling to Aruba or to any location that included a beach. He enjoyed Foxwoods Resort, but most off all, he cherished the time spent with his family and especially his grandchildren.
David was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church, Haverhill.
In addition to his wife Sandra, his surviving family members include his loving children, Kim (Pearl) Filaseta and her husband Alan of Haverhill and Mark Pearl and his wife Leslie of Haverhill; grandchildren, Alana Filaseta, Jared Filaseta, Jalyn Pearl and Jamie Pearl; siblings, Richard Pearl and his wife Diane of Haverhill and Everett Pearl of Newmarket, NH; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws; brother of the late Gordon "Butch" Levere.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, September 27, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Bradford at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte. 125), Bradford, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
