David Cornell
King
March 2, 1959 – January 6, 2019
HAVERHILL - David Cornell King, 59, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2019 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital where he was born.
He was the 5th child to Claire and Joseph King, longtime Belmont residents, who welcomed him home in heaven. Loving father of three young adults, Rachel, Christopher and Rebecca of Haverhill. Cherished brother of Stephen and Debbie of New Albany, OH, Sally and Tony Manfredi of Rye, NH, Bobby of Libby, MT, Michael and Rosemary of San Antonio, TX, Susan of Rye NH, and Joe and Johna King of Yarmouth, ME. He especially loved watching all his nieces and nephews, their spouses and their young children grow.
David was a beloved and dedicated worker in the towns of Belmont and Haverhill for forty years, giving so much of himself in public service. Recently he enjoyed work at Atkinson Country Club in NH as a ranger, with the game he so loved, golf. He showed all of us how to work through countless physical challenges. David had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed. He is survived by countless friends and former wife Jackie King. Be at rest Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend Dave.
Private burial took place in his family lot in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, MA. Celebration of David's Life will be held on Saturday, January 12, at the Crescent Yacht Club, 30 Ferry Street, Haverhill from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Contributions in David's memory may be made to: Crescent Yacht Club Fund for Families, memo David King, 30 Ferry Street, Haverhill, MA 01835. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill.
