HAVERHILL - The family of Daniel M. Bird, 72, of Haverhill, MA, is saddened to announce his sudden death at home on February 20, 2023.

Born on March 23, 1950 to Natalie and Arnold Bird Sr. in Haverhill, MA, Danny attended Hunking Elementary School as well as Haverhill High School. After graduating he enjoyed a long career at AT&T/Lucent Technology in North Andover, where he worked as a mechanical assembler. Danny was a true people person with a gift for gab. After his time with AT&T/Lucent, Danny purchased and ran Broadway Variety on Broadway Street in Haverhill. He truly loved serving the community and becoming close with his regular customers. Danny also served as a Massachusetts Justice of the Peace where his warmth and humor made an impact on many families across the commonwealth.

Daniel is survived by his son, Michael, former wife Joanne Bird, brothers Steven, David, Mark, and Arnold Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Suzanne Bragg of Hampstead, NH.
