HAVERHILL - Daisy M. (Stanley) May, 70, longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, born on March 27, 1952, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2022, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Daisy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, cousin and friend. Along with her parents, Joshua and Neddie Stanley, Daisy was predeceased by her brother James Stanley, great-niece Doris May Young and beloved dog Gamby. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Richard May, Sr.; two sons, Richard May, Jr. and significant other Emmy and son James May; grandson James May, Jr.; sister Cecilia Spaulding and twin sister Doris Young; four nieces and nephews who loved her unconditionally, William Young and wife Rhoda, Joshua Young and wife Allison, Thomas Young and wife Shannon and godson Alexander Cooper and Phoebe; sixteen great-nieces and great-nephews with one great-nephew on the way; twenty-eight great great-nieces and nephews with three more on the way. Daisy will also be missed by so many close cousins and friends. Daisy graduated from Saugus High School in 1970. She worked many years in a factory, after that she worked as a care giver. When Daisy was not out thrift shopping or at a yard sale looking for the best deals, you could find her at a crocheting class, or the track betting on the winning horse. She also enjoyed going to Maine with her husband, going to the beach or getting a lobster, spending time with her twin by taking her to run errands, or going to her nephews house to spoil her two great-nieces (Juliet and Isla) with some clothes or goodies. Daisy had the most infectious smile and eyes that lit up a room. She never walked through a door empty handed, always thinking of others. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. "Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." John 16:22.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Gathering will follow on Saturday morning in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. For guestbook, please visit www.driscollcares.com
