PROPOSED OBITUARY

Haverhill: Cynthia Lynn Harris, formerly of Amesbury, passed away surrounded by her family on November 21, 2022, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Born on May 24, 1957, to Ralph and Martha Harris, Cindy grew up in Burlington, MA with her sisters Robyn Thorstensen, Vicki Leary, and Margaret Gibson.

Cindy moved to Amesbury, MA where she spent her adult years and raised her son, Blake Harris.

Cindy embodied strength, lightheartedness, love, and perseverance. She found joy in putting others first while asking for little in return. Her penchant for mischievousness during her younger years translated into a direct sense of humor and impactful lessons passed to the children in her life for whom she made caring for her life's mission. As a preschool teacher, a devoted mother to her son, and a caregiver to her nieces and nephews, she was known for her whatever it takes attitude toward providing, mentoring, and giving to the children around her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00pm, at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill, MA. Calling hours will precede the service from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.dcsfuneralhome.com
